A curriculum rooted in a God-centered view of life.
ACADEMICS
Through classical, time-tested methods, Summit provides a sound and superior academic education, intentionally integrated with a Biblical worldview.
PREK THROUGH 12TH GRADE
From the first day of PreK to graduation.
Classical education follows the way children learn: first the facts of a subject (Grammar), then the reasons behind them (Logic), then the clear expression of their own ideas (Rhetoric).
Early Years
Half-day programs that prepare children for Kindergarten in a joyful, engaging environment of wonder, worship and play.
Explore Early Years →Lower School
Chants, jingles, rhymes and songs make facts easy to remember, alongside hands-on learning that nurtures curiosity and creativity.
Explore Lower School →Middle School
Students learn the “why,” testing what they know and growing in abstract thought, from early logic skills to Formal Logic in 8th grade.
Explore Middle School →Upper School
Students form and articulate their own ideas, learn to share and defend their faith, and finish with a Senior Thesis.
Explore Upper School →WHAT SETS US APART
The tools of learning.
Every subject is taught as part of a unified, integrated whole, with Scripture at the center.
Latin
Latin begins in 3rd grade and builds through Advanced Latin in 8th. Upper School students continue in Latin or Spanish.
Humanities
History and literature are taught together, moving through the Ancient, Medieval and Modern eras in Middle School and again in Upper School.
Logic & Rhetoric
Informal and Formal Logic in 7th and 8th grade, then Rhetoric I–III and a Senior Thesis in Upper School.
Music for all
Lower School music twice a week, then Cantorum (our all-school choir) or Orchestra for every student in grades 6–12.
