  • Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning by Douglas Wilson – This book outlines the approach to a distinctively Christian and Classical education.

  • The Paideia of God by Douglas Wilson – Essays on a variety of subjects related to education, but especially good are the ones on school clothes (uniforms) and one that places classical in the stream of Protestant orthodoxy.

  • The Case for Classical Christian Education by Douglas Wilson – This books builds upon Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning.

  • Repairing the Ruins by Douglas Wilson – Collection of essays exploring Biblical worldview, the whys and hows of classical education and how that looks in the 21st century.

  • On Secular Education by R.L. Dabney – Written in the mid-1800's, Dabney foresees the problems America would have with a secular education system.

  • Always Ready by Greg L. Bahnsen – An apologetics book that articulates the Christian's need for a solid foundation of knowledge.

  • Excused Absence by Douglas Wilson – Explores the question whether Christian kids should leave the public school system.
