Faculty Opportunities:
Headmaster
Nestled in the heart of the Snoqualmie Valley—a scenic mountain
suburb 25 miles east of Seattle—Summit Classical Christian School is
actively pursuing a dynamic headmaster candidate to lead and
administer grades K-6 in accordance with the stated vision,
philosophy, and policies as determined by the board.
The ideal candidate should be
committed to classical education, firm in his Christian faith, and
energized by the challenge of leading a new school.
- Key responsibilities include:
Provide overall leadership, organization, and management of the
school
- Oversee budgets including daily
operations and annual planning
- Oversee school and community
development including fundraising and relationship building
efforts
- Maintain effective
communication with board, parents, and community
- Provide leadership for the
instructional and curricular programs, and develop plans for
continued improvement and growth in these areas (includes
teacher training)
- Maintain healthy faculty
relationships and staff oversight
- Provide overall spiritual
leadership, develop and maintain school culture, and ensure
loving and biblical discipline is implemented
Additionally, the ideal candidate
should have:
- 5 or more years of K-12
administration with at least 3 years in classical education
- Formal training in education
administration
- Formal training in classical
education
