Kristen Fox, PreK
Mrs. Fox has been a long time parent at Summit and will be leading our PreK program this year.  She has a BA in Elementary Education and has previously taught Kindergarten.  She has served as a MOPS coordinator and has run an in home daycare for many years.

Avonna Wilson, Pre-K Teacher Aid
Mrs. Wilson has 3 children here at Summit. She is a previous homeschool mom with an emphasis in classical education.  She taught at a Classical Conversation co-op for a number of year as well a Sunday school at church.

Erin Perryman, Kindergarten
Ms. Perryman teaches kindergarten for Summit Classical Christian, and has a bachelors degree in elementary education, and completed her Pro-Certificate in June 2011. 

Carol Kerr, 1st grade
Ms. Kerr teaches first grade at Summit, and brings a rich background of work with children. With a degree in Liberal Arts, Ms. Kerr is well-suited to lay a strong foundation for our first grade students. This will be Carol’s second year teaching 1st grade, but her third year at Summit.

Sidney Weller, 2nd grade
Ms. Weller teaches second grade at Summit and as well as choral director for the lower grammar school.  Ms. Weller started at Summit as a substitute teacher, leading multiple classes for extended periods of time. She has over 10 years of teaching experience as well as a BA vocal performance.  This will be Sidney’s second year teaching at Summit.

Lisa Miller, Resource Teacher
Ms. Miller has taught full-time for many years at Summit and now serves as a resource teacher for second grade. Ms. Miller has a BA from Seattle Pacific University in secondary education, and a BA from Utah State University for elementary education. She has her 5th year certification from EWU and CWU, and more than 20 years teaching experience.

Laura Dice, 3rd grade
Ms. Dice teaches third grade for Summit Classical Christian school, and is a graduate of W.S.U. where she was a member of the honors program.  Ms.Dice attended the Oaks Classical Christian Academy in Spokane for middle school and high school.  This will be Laura’s third year teaching at Summit.  She has also begun her Master’s degree in Education.

Trish Cornwall, 4th grade
Mrs. Cornwall teaches fourth grade for Summit Classical Christian School, and has her BA from Western Washington University and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education of which she graduated with honors. She has 7 years of early childhood classroom experience and one year teaching second grade.  Mrs. Cornwall has been involved in children’s ministry for 12 years, working with students from preschool through sixth grade.

Deidre Cairns, 5th grade
Mrs. Cairns teaches fifth grade for Summit Classical Christian School, and has her BA in English Secondary Education from Western Washington University.  This will be her fifth year teaching at Summit.

Janelle Barquist, Lower School P.E.
Ms. Barquist teaches physical education for the lower school at Summit Classical Christian School. Ms. Barquist received her bachelor’s degree from Westmont College and Master’s in teaching from the University of Washington. 

Sarah Etters, Middle School
Ms. Etters teaches math, the coding/typing and robotics electives, and fitness for girls at the middle school for Summit Classical Christian.  Ms. Etters has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a secondary teaching certificate from Whitworth University.

Amber Clinton, Upper School
Ms. Clinton is our Upper School Latin and drama teacher.  In addition she teaches 6th grade history and language arts.  This will be Amber’s 5th year at Summit.  Amber has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an endorsement in early childhood education from CWU.

Kimbra Baker, Upper School
Ms. Baker teaches language arts and history for grades 7th-9th.  She also teaches 6th grade writing.  This will be Kimbra’s 2nd year at Summit but her 9th year teaching.  Ms. Baker has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from Seattle Pacific University, and is a dedicated fitness and nutrition authority.

Dr. Cristi Cooper, Upper School
Dr. Cooper teaches science for grades 6th-9th, logic for 7th & 8th  and is in charge of our STEM program.  This will be her 3rd year teaching at Summit.  Cristi has a Ph.D. in Human Anatomy from the U.W., and is a published research scientist.

Luke Berwick, Math & Music for Upper School
Mr. Berwick teaches math and music for the middle school at Summit Classical Christian School.  Mr. Berwick has a degree in Mathematics Education from Clearwater Christian College.

Baly Botton, Upper School P.E.
Baly Botton teaches PE for the upper school at Summit Classical Christian School.  Baly is a student at BIOS (Bible Institute of Seattle), WildLife Coordinator for Snoqualmie Valley Young Life, and is an Intern for Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church.

Tim Fenderson, Upper School Bible
Mr. Tim Fenderson teaches Upper School Bible. For the past 32 years, Mr. Fenderson has served as teacher, academic dean, and principal at schools in both California and Washington. All through his career he has continually taught in Sunday school and in Bible studies as well. Mr. Fenderson has a BA from Gordon college as well as an advanced English degree.


Katie Ross, Lower School Principal

After 10 years of teaching, Katie will begin her 2nd year as Summit’s lower school principal.  She also leads the lower school’s running club program.  Katie has an BA in elementary education and a master’s in reading instruction.

Hannah Stainer, Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Stainer is an administrative assistant at Summit Classical Christian, and manages the school office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday during the school year.

Jessica Keith, Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Keith is an administrative assistant at Summit Classical Christian, and manages the front desk Monday and Thursday.
